Here at Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World we take sustainability seriously indeed – caring for the environment is one of our four key values: Environmentalism – committed to a sustainable future Sustainability is an important value to the business, from solar panels on the roof, regional sourcing of food products and merchandise, to receiving left-over fruit and vegetables from the local Woolworths in Maleny to provide a balanced diet for our 600 birds.

Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World

Maleny Botanic Gardens and Bird World is an inclusive and accessible attraction that sits high on an escarpment in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland with breathtaking views across the Glasshouse Mountains. Garden zones to be explored include a fragrant rose garden, reflective oriental garden, ancient rainforests and 25 million year old rock formations, all easily accessible by foot or via a fleet of electric golf buggies. The whole family will love the unique walk-through interactive bird aviaries with over 600 birds, as well as the petting zoo – no doubt leaving enriched with unforgettable memories and new friends!

Cafe

Our newly-refurbished café is the perfect destination for morning coffee, an afternoon Devonshire Tea or a scenic lunch. We have a wide array of hot and cold beverages and an ever-changing selection of freshly-made sandwiches, pastries, dishes and snacks to suit everyone. Our Café has a great selection of items perfect for a picnic in one of our many gazebos and picnic spots.
