Adrenalin Snorkel and Dive

Adrenalin Dive specialises in day trips to the wreck of the SS Yongala. The SS Yongala is a national historic site that lies within the beautiful Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, off Townsville. The artefacts, marine life and variety of corals that cover the wreck are spectacular. This is Australia’s best dive, an experience you will remember for the rest of your life.Trips depart daily from Townsville and Magnetic Island.

The SS Yongala sank during a cyclone in 1911 with the loss of all on board. It was not until 1958 that the wreck was discovered and due to it’s remote location it has remained mostly untouched. The wreck begins 14m below the surface and extends to 28m. Since it is the only reef structure in the region, the marine life gathers at the wreck providing for an unforgettable diving experience!
