Our respect for our hard working team is many fold. We respect the beauty, power and grace of all horses, we respect their wild heritage as herd animals and we recognise that the strength and instincts of a horse need to be harnessed in a safe and respectful manner.

The principles and practice of natural horsemanship is followed world wide, and manifests in many different forms. By understanding the instincts and impulses that drive a horse and the behaviour of herd animals, we humans can develop strong working relationships with these large animals.

Packhorse Adventures

During the summer months from December to April Bogong Horseback Adventures offer a program of packhorse supported tours of 3 to 7 days duration. Acclaimed by successive tourism awards, these High Country rides take you on a journey through time, from the rich fertile Kiewa Valley and the 20th century, through the layers of vegetation from temperate rainforest, up rocky spur lines to the vast open High Plains and mountain peaks.

Along the way you will feel the modern world falling away, so you arrive in the clouds in another time. The mists will clear and you will see forever across the blue ridges. We travel with packhorses, far from 4WD’s and crowds across a landscape dotted with old cattleman’s huts, bushranger hideouts, brumby traps and goldmines.

Daily Trail Rides

The mountain valleys of North East Victoria abound with colourful birdlife, majestic views, lush pastures and a delightful climate. Bogong Horseback Adventures offer day rides in the heart of the High Country. Experience riding the beautiful tracks of the Alpine National Park through tall mountain forests, fern gullies and river crossings. Experienced guides with horses to suit all riders. All rides include tuition, Hard hats and oilskin coats if required.
