Bruce Belcher’s Daintree River Cruises provide one hour wildlife cruises for visitors to the Daintree River. Cruises depart throughout the day to visit the Daintree World Heritage Area and explain the river’s intertidal ecosystem and its unique natural diversity and rich cultural heritage.
Tours are interactive and engaging and focus on spotting wildlife and understanding the habitat and behaviour of saltwater crocodiles. Tours focus on the delivery of interpretation which enhances both guests’ experience and their appreciation of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, while explaining Croc Wise behaviour requirements for visiting the Daintree.
This iconic family business has been operating since 1995 and is located at a private riverfront property on the south side of the Daintree River easily accessible from the main road. Guests board vessels from an exclusive use pontoon and with a fleet of four comfortable vessels specifically designed for river conditions. Cruises can be customised to accommodate large corporate events and tour operators.
All cruises include complementary tea or coffee, and lunch is provided for the midday cruise with licenced bar provided onsite along with a retail space which promotes locally made products and souvenirs.
