Discover the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. Take a walk or solar-powered train ride along the 1.841km Jetty, and visit the breathtaking Underwater Observatory located at the end of the Jetty to see our local marine life in their natural habitats. The newly opened Marine Discovery Centre located onshore opposite Shelter & Co will take you offshore to discover the mysterious deep sea marine environments of South West Australia. A unique experience situated in the beautiful Margaret River region.

Walk the Jetty

Enjoy breathtaking 360 degree views as you walk 1.8km to the end of the historic Busselton Jetty! There is a Bollard Trail with questions to answer, interpretive panels, memorial plaques, wind vanes, swimming platforms, life size whale mural, selfie direction dial as well as spotting wildlife!

Interpretive Centre

Housed in the Interpretive centre is the Jetty Museum which allows visitors to discover the Jetty’s colourful 156 year history and amazing marine life through interactive displays, entry is free. The Jetty Gift Shop features a unique range of giftware, ‘ecoware’ and a distinctive range of souvenirs.

Jetty Train

All aboard the Stocker Preston Express! Sit back and relax while our train driver takes you on a 1.7 kilometre journey across the calm, clear waters of Geographe Bay, out to the end of the Jetty and home again.

Underwater Observatory Tours

Descend 8m to the ocean floor via a spiral staircase to discover an awe inspiring forest of vividly coloured tropical and sub-tropical corals, sponges, fish and invertebrates. Eleven viewing windows at various levels within the Observatory allow visitors to look out on some of the 300 marine species that live beneath the Jetty.

Discover the intricate ecosystems thriving beneath the waves, explore the hidden world of microscopic marine life, and learn about the expansive open seas and mysterious underwater trenches.

Underwater Sculpture Park

Eight metres below the ocean surface at the end of the Busselton Jetty is a brand new, diverse and artistically eye-catching Underwater Sculpture Park featuring 13 stunning sculptures crafted by artists from across Western Australia! The Underwater Sculpture Park and Artificial Reef Project contributes to the environmental preservation in Geographe Bay by creating hard seafloor habitats, a rarity in this part of the bay which is primarily dominated by seagrass meadows. Each underwater sculpture has been purposefully designed to serve as an artificial reef, offering marine life additional habitats within the bay.
