This large and luxurious yacht is based in Manly, Brisbane and caters for up to 12 passengers. Cruising to stunning destinations around Moreton Bay, the yacht is fully equipped for an active day of sailing, water sports and beach activities. Curlew Escape is a sailing vessel, and we sail whenever we have wind. We have non-motorised watersports and an electric dinghy. We also buy local, cooperate with the Qandamooka, and pick up rubbish on the beaches we visit.

Extended Day Sail - Lucinda Bay, Moreton Island

Lucinda Bay has been a swimming and picnic destination on Moreton Island since the 1800s. Indeed, it is named after the Steamship Lucinda, the governor of Queensland’s yacht, which often visited. Just south of Tangalooma Point, it is a protected anchorage with large sandbars to the north, south and west and nice shallow and crystal clear water over white sand, without the current of Tangalooma. Unlike many destinations in Moreton Bay, there will likely only be a few yachts here. Lucinda Bay is a beautiful spot.

Afternoon Sail

Enjoy an afternoon sailing on a private yacht charter past the western Moreton Bay Islands of King, Green and St Helena Islands, or out past Wellington Point into the bay. We can stay in the protected waters of the inner bay on the western side of the islands, or venture out into the main Moreton Bay and go right out into the middle of the bay. It is up to you. Depending on wind direction, we can optionally anchor behind one of the western islands for lunch. You and your guests can be hands-on, help sail the yacht, or let the skipper do it all, whichever you prefer.

Extended Day Sail - Tangalooma Wrecks

The Tangalooma Wrecks offer superb snorkelling in crystal clear, shallow water.

Full Day Sail - Horseshoe Bay, Peel Island

Featuring white sand beaches and crystal clear water, Peel Island is the ideal Moreton Bay Island. We anchor at Horseshoe Bay, ideal for beach activities and watersports, or Platypus Bay, ideal for snorkelling the wreck of the SS Platypus.

Sunset Sail

Enjoy a sunset sail through the Western Moreton Bay islands and watch the sunset over the water with beautiful nature all around. Get involved in the sailing helming the yacht and trimming the sails or relax and enjoy the breeze through your hair. The yacht returns to the marina during dusk.
