At Dingos K'gari Adventures, we’re committed to sustainable tourism that respects both the environment and the cultural heritage of K'gari. We actively support the Butchulla people, the island’s Traditional Custodians, through a unique partnership that includes leasing an exclusive beachside camp managed by the Butchulla community. This off-grid camp is powered by solar energy, features eco-friendly amenities, and returns all waste to the mainland for responsible processing. Guests gain meaningful insight into Butchulla culture while directly contributing to job creation, youth development, and cultural enterprises like clap sticks, native art, and organic body products. We also minimise our environmental footprint through low-waste, plastic-conscious catering, carbon emissions tracking, and ongoing efforts to implement renewable energy and water-saving initiatives at our mainland office. Through client education and conscious travel practices, we foster a deeper understanding of First Nations history and the importance of protecting K'gari’s pristine ecosystems for future generations.
