Divers Den is a part of a variety of ecotourism incentives, we have installed 160 solar panels to our 5 star PADI Dive Training Center which is the largest solar run property in Cairns. On board all our vessels we have recycling and are a part of The Last Straw campaign to cut down on single use plastics. We believe in collaboration and have teamed up with Minke Whale Project where we have researchers from James Cook University conduct studies on our Minke Whale Expeditions. We are also a part of Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef campaign and ensure that we are doing our part to preserve the Great Barrier Reef for years to come.

Swim with the Minke Whales
MINKE WHALE MIGRATION Duringthe
months of June, July and early August
of each year there is the amazing
opportunity to encounter Dwarf
Minke Whales whilst on their migration path.
Our success rate for sightings during
the whale season is around 90%.
TAKA Ribbon Reef Explorer is one of
the few vessels to hold a ‘swim with
the Minkes’ permit and we regularly
conduct in-water activities with these
inquisitive giants.
