East Coast Cruises is a specialist tourism company located in the township of Triabunna, who operate unique cruise and walk day tours to Maria Island National Park. Led by passionate wildlife biologists, their award winning 7 hour day tours combine an interpretive morning scenic cruise and an afternoon walk to showcase Maria Island’s UNESCO World Heritage listed convict history, renowned geology, pristine beaches, marine reserves, mountain views and protected native wildlife.

One Day on Maria - Ile Des Phoques walking and cruise tour
On our Ile des Phoques (French for Island of Seals) tour we visit Ile des Phoques, small granite island 30 minutes north of Maria Island. The island is home to a colony of Australian fur seals and a pair of sea eagles. The island has two remarkable marine caves that we are able to access with our boat.
On this tour you will also capture the stunning panoramic views of Maria Island, including famous landmarks such as the Painted Cliffs and Fossil Cliffs, spring-fed waterfalls, limestone sea caves, cliff-top stalactites, Bishop & Clerk mountain range and the stunning granite cliffs of Maria Island’s east coast.
One Day on Maria - Circumnavigation walking and cruise tour
On the circumnavigation tour we trace the full coast line of Maria Island. The east coast of Maria Island showcases mountain fed waterfalls, secluded bays, sea caves, ancient geology., while the west coast includes beaches of pure white sand and crystal clear aqua water. Renown sights of interest include Riedle Bay and Shoal Bay at Maria Island’s isthmus, the Fossil Cliffs (which holds the largest collection of Permian shelve fossils), Bishop & Clerk dolerite mountain range, limestone sea caves and the Painted Cliffs.
