The eco tourist facilities will be completely ‘Off Grid’ and provide guests with educational information on the area including local flora and fauna as well as information on living in an off-grid environment. Each cabin will provide bike storage and boat parking to allow guests to optimize their recreational experience of the area.
The proposed development will encourage guests to explore the Snowy Mountains region and learn about the Aboriginal and European cultural heritage, unique ecological environment, and the stunning Lake Jindabyne, created by the Snowy Scheme that provides 30% of the eastern seaboards renewable energy supply. A comprehensive welcome pack will provide extensive information about the cultural and ecological significance of the area as well as year-round recreational opportunities including fishing, mountain bike trails, hiking paths and snow sports with skiing and snowboarding unique to this region with only 0.15% of the Australian continent receive regular snow during the winter months.
