We are not just talking about the philosophy of sustainability;we have made real changes to the operation of the retreat to significantly reduce our impact on the environment. In particular, emphasis is placed on sustainable product choice and supply chain, water and carbon offset power consumption, recycling / waste reduction, with EV chargers on offer. By operating a limited number of guest chalets, we have made a conscious choice to reduce the consumption and impact on the natural environment while further enhancing the feeling of privacy and seclusion for which Forest Rise is renowned. Being part of the “Land for Wildlife” program for over 20 years Forest Rise is a unique sanctuary for many local flora and fauna which are detailed in our self-guided walk trails and commentary.
