Kestrel Nest EcoHut is an off-grid and off-line eco-retreat. it is located on our farm – Highfield Farm and Woodland. Our farm is 2/3rds a conservation area protecting critically endangered Box Gum Grassy Woodland and the creatures that depend on it.

Kestrel Nest sits right on the edge of our farmland and our conservation land. Guests can freely explore the conservation area via the many tracks thru it. The off-grid nature of the property means that guests can get a sense of their energy consumption and how easy it is to live without mains power. The off-line nature of the property means that guests have the opportunity for undistracted time in nature.

On farm tour highlighting how we aim to farm with nature rather than against her. Includes viewing various Landcare Projects conducted on the farm aimed at increasing biodiversity and enhancing water quality

Bird Watching Tour

Over 140 different bird species have been identifed on our farm and in our conservation area. We take you on a tour of our property not only looking for birds but also discussing what habitats make for good bird diversity.
