Sustainability Commitment

Hook-A-Barra Fishing Adventures is located within Daintree Saltwater Barramundi which produces multi-award winning Barramundi from it's certified sustainable farm. We are committed to preserving the environment through sustainable agriculture and fishing without depleting or impacting the majestic natural environment we live in. We run not-for-profit children's clinics which focuses on sustainable fishing practices in future generations. We are passionate about 'food miles' and sustainable consumerism, particularly within the seafood industry, current involvement in campaigns such as #askforaussiebarra and country of origin labelling in Australia being a few of our initiatives.

Daintree Sensations Day Tour

The Daintree Sensations full day tour is an initiative of local producers, wanting to connect guests with outstanding produce and stunning destinations in the Daintree. Fully guided, this coach tour collects you from Port Douglas and whisks you away to the Australian Chocolate Farm for a tour and tasting. Unique opportunity to meet the grower and learn the bean to bar process of chocolate farming. Exotic tropical fruit is next on our food adventure, with a visit to Scomazzons Fruit Farm and Store. What you taste will depend on your visit, as it is hand harvested and served fresh to you. Lunch is served at the Daintree Saltwater Barramundi Farm, where you also get a behind the scenes tour of this impressive operation, which has been providing a sustainable supply of barramundi since 2002. Their produce has won multiple awards at the Sydney Royal Fine Food Show and is known for quality and flavour. The final destination on this fully day tour is Cassowary Falls, a pristine waterfall located on a private property in the Daintree. Bring your towels for swimming and enjoy an artisan grazing board.
