Imagine herself is a purpose built 18 metre (61ft) luxury ocean sailing catamaran with a capacity for 60 guests inside the bay and 40 offshore. Just two and a half hours drive north from Sydney, our personal and friendly cruises sail daily from “C”dock, d’Albora Marina at Nelson Bay. Equipped with bow and boom-nets, a comfortable licensed lounge bar and a large foredeck for 360 degree viewing, Imagine is the largest commercial sailing cat in the port.
Terry Domico, an International conservation biologist considers Port Stephens as one of the most important estuaries in Australia. It is also perhaps the most naturally beautiful and accessible waterway in NSW and with its offshore islands allows dolphin & whale watching cruises 7 days a week, with a 99% success rate in dolphin sightings.

Whale + Dolphin Watch Cruise
The Eco-tourism Experience of a Lifetime! Imagine Cruises dolphin & whalewatching cruise gives you the chance to see these magnificent mammals as they migrate north past Port Stephens along the east coast of Australia and then south again in the spring. The Mid North Coast NSW whale watching season is from May to November. Chance to see Humpbacks, Minke whales, Southern Right whales, Sei whales, Brydes whales as well as magnificent pods of offshore Pacific Common dolphins… and fur seals, sea turtles, little blue (fairy) penguins, albatross and sea eagles.
Dolphin Watch + Snorkelling
From December to March you have the opportunity to indulge in an awesome eco-tourism adventure aboard Imagine Cruises out of Nelson Bay. Sail with the Port Stephens dolphins, swim or snorkel in crystal clear waters and cruise the islands off the Mid North Coast of New South Wales Australia. See an abundance of fish and birds with a chance to see pods of offshore dolphins, fur seals, sea turtles, little blue (fairy) penguins, albatross and sea eagles.
Dolphin Watch + Sailing
Feel the thrill of being up close to the wild dolphins of Port Stephens. Boom net or bow net ride as we skim across the sparkling waters of the port under sail. Dolphin watching cruises depart from Nelson Bay 7 days a week from November to May. Imagine Cruises has a 99% success rate with dolphin sightings and this cruise is eco-tourism accredited. A dolphin sighting is guaranteed or a free ticket to come again is given.
