Back Country Ski Touring
Australia definitely has some of the best back country ski touring anywhere in the world. Take a guided ski tour with experienced mountain guides. Enjoy the long spring on lighter skis and explore the ‘wild’ side of the Snowy Mountains. Ski out of the busy resorts and enjoy some steep skiing off piste (strong intermediate and advanced skiers). Ski from ‘resort to resort’ and spend several days ‘off piste’ staying in the comfort of the alpine resorts or book a guide and ‘ski camp’ the Australian steeps.
Snow Shoeing
The most popular emerging winter sport across Europe and America – Snow Shoeing! Australia has some superb country for snow shoeing extending across the high country and from Autumn through to late Spring. Stretch your legs and lungs and enjoy ‘low impact’ tours. Leave the busy ski fields behind and drink in the silence. Tours available from Perisher, Thredbo or Charlotte Pass.
Avalanche Course
Our fully accredited and experience Avalanche Guide will take you from the classroom into the field to learn the signs of avalanche, how to observe different snow types and snow slopes essential to detecting potential avalanche dangers. Australia does experience avalanches and cornice drops! This is a must do course, particularly for people wanting to ski off piste in Australia or overseas or Ski Instructors looking for avalanche accreditation as a part of international employment pre-requisites.
Glacial Lakes Walk
One of the best walks in Australia – walk from Thredbo to Charlotte Pass or complete the circuit to Thredbo. The Glacial Lakes Walks takes in some of the best scenery in Australia with magnificent views across the high country and to Victoria. See the remnants of glacial action in Australia with the high country glacial lakes. Enjoy the Kosciuszko Alpine Flora and take home memories and a lifelong love of the Australian alps.
Cross Country (Nordic) Skiing
The K7 Kosciuszko Cross Country Ski School provides expert nordic ski instruction for beginners, intermediate, advanced and race-minded skiers! Organise a club outing (club rates apply) or cross training. Nordic skiing is just the best during the Australian winter. Join us on the groomed nordic ski trails at Perisher. Or, go off piste with K7 and explore the Porcupine Rocks Trail from Perisher or the Ramsheads near Thredbo.
Alpine Photography
If you love mother nature – she will love you! There is no better way to explore the mountains than through the lens of your camera. Our experience alpine photographers are waiting to take you on sunrise, sunset or half / full day alpine photography tours. Caving
Go Caving at Wee Jasper with experienced Caving Guides. Abseil into the depths of a limestone wonderland and make your way through the underworld! Always a good climate no matter what is happening above ground. Enjoy the natural bushland surrounding Wee Jasper and plan to camp! A great day on route to the Snowy Mountains or when visiting Canberra – try something different.
Ramshead Ramble

Climbing & Abseiling

Alpine Survival is a growing skill especially for young people and school groups.
