Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre
Embraced by one of the world’s most beautiful locations, the Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre is an enticing destination to introduce visitors to both the stunning natural beauty of the Daintree and the rich culture of the Kuku Yalanji people.
This Indigenous ecotourism development was created to provide a more engaging, immersive experience for visitors to the Mossman Gorge World Heritage site. Acknowledged as one of Australia’s most iconic Aboriginal experiences in Tropical North Queensland, this Centre is the perfect solution for those seeking a genuine, authentic engagement with Indigenous Australia.
Guests are invited to explore the Daintree Rainforest – the oldest continually surviving rainforest on earth – during a guided tour, or discover its wonders on your own. Other temptations include a bite at Mayi Café or browse the Art Gallery. Visitors are also invited to a cultural demonstration, including a Welcome to Country ceremony, local yarns as well as learnings about the people and places that make Mossman Gorge so special.

Sustainability Commitment
Elder Roy Gibson, our founder, envisioned the Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre as a space for visitors to appreciate Indigenous culture and the unique ecosystem of the Mossman Gorge area. The Centre offers an authentic Indigenous experience while respecting the rainforest's natural landscape, including flora, fauna, water, rocks, and Manjal Dimbi (Mt Demi). As an ecotourism operator, we strive to minimize our environmental impact and provide engaging educational opportunities. Our Environmental Management Plan emphasizes the importance of protecting the Daintree Rainforest, a Heritage Listed National Park, and we actively manage various environmental impacts, including water conservation, waste management, energy use, air quality, and visitor effects.
