Nitmiluk Visitor Centre

The Nitmiluk Visitor Centre is located at the entrance to Nitmiluk Gorge and should be your first stop when visiting the national park. Friendly staff are on hand to assist with your tour and travel enquiries and NT Parks and Wildlife Rangers are also available to give advice on walking, camping and other activities.

Footsteps of our Ancestors

Visit the Aboriginal Lands of the Jawoyn people for a hands on Indigenous learning experience where you will spend the day with the Aboriginal people, sharing their culture, learning their ways and trying some of the skills developed over thousands of years. Activities include basket weaving, spear throwing, fire lighting, painting and learning the didgeridoo. You will also be taken on a short but informative walk learning about bush medicine and ducker. A traditional meal of kangaroo tail will be served at lunch and you will have the opportunity to buy authentic Aboriginal art.

Nitmiluk Chalets

Experience the splendours of Nitmiluk National Park at your doorstep with all the convenience of self contained accommodation. The Nitmiluk chalets are centrally positioned below the escarpment entrance just 600m to the departure point for boat cruises, canoes and several short circuit walks.
