North Coast Regional Botanic Garden
Stroll, walk, sit, dine and relax in beautiful Coffs Harbour’s subtropical gardens. Opened in 1988, the Garden covers 20 hectares of Crown Land and is bounded on three sides by Coffs Creek, a wide mangrove-lined, tidal estuary.
The Garden features a section of natural forest and mangroves; plantings of rare and endangered Australian species, Australian rainforest species, and exotic plants from other sub-tropical regions of the world. We also have a delightful Japanese garden set around a lake. Five kilometres of paths and boardwalks traverse the Garden, giving visitors easy access to all areas. Our website introduces visitors to the Garden areas, walks, maps, resources, services and events. Come and see us soon!

Sustainability Commitment
The garden plays an important scientific and conservation role as a safe haven for rare and endangered plants, especially for the north coast region of NSW. This involves keeping a ‘living collection’ of rare and endangered plants, an extensive reference collection or library of dried plant specimens in the Herbarium, native seeds in the Seedbank and a database. It is also home to a wide range of Fauna.
