As Australia’s original luxury camp and a pioneer in sustainable tourism, Paperbark Camp has had accreditation with Ecotourism Australia since opening in 1999. The core objective is to offer guests an immersive encounter with nature while minimizing ecological impact through sustainable practices. This includes the use of renewable energy, reliance on natural ventilation (no air-conditioning) and low voltage lighting and power and the implementation of comprehensive waste management systems to reduce landfill contributions. Paperbark Camp also prioritizes local and sustainable sourcing of food and materials, fostering a connection with the surrounding community and environment.
