Attraction

Boardwalk Tour

The Boardwalk Tour is self-guided and fully wheelchair-accessible. The 900m (return) boardwalk meanders through limestone cliffs and untouched sand dunes, showcasing the stunning and ragged coastal scenery and sea lion colony. Interpretive signage along the boardwalk ensures visitors can learn about sea lion behaviour such as reproduction, hunting and resting.

Twilight Beach Tour

The Twilight Beach Tour is a once in a lifetime experience. You’ll have up to two hours walking among the sea lion colony with your guide and group of no more than 12 people as the sun begins to set and cloaks the beach and cliffs with golden light. Our guides will interpret the sea lion behaviour that is occurring right in front of you, as well as providing general information on the species. Because it’s a smaller group, you’ll have plenty of time to ask questions.

Seal Bay Experience

The Seal Bay Experience 45 minute guided walking tour with no more than 25 people. You’ll follow a path through the dunes down to the beach, where our guides will interpret sea lion behaviour that is occurring right in front of you. They’ll also provide you with information about what sea lions eat, where they live, and how we are protecting them.

Seal Bay Visitor Centre

In the visitor centre you’ll find interpretive displays with information on the history of sealing, life at sea for sea lions, the evolution of sea lions, research and marine pollution. There is also a touch table and video of sea lions underwater. The visitor centre is fully solar powered, fresh rain water is collected and used throughout, and all heating and cooling is powered by gas. Organic cleaning materials are used to minimise any potential for pollution and the toilets use a dry composting system.
