Solitary Islands Surf School

SISS is a Surf school that provides a service to the local community and its visitors. Connecting, educating and guiding people to have an enjoyable experience in the ocean. Our main activity is teaching people to surf and ride waves. We also provide educational programs to help people understand and be confident while using the ocean.

School Groups

Learning to surf or just recreationally play in the ocean is a great way for kids to stay fit and healthy, build confidence or it can bring a real sense of achievement as they learn new skills.  Solitary Islands and Sawtell Surf Schools offer a range of programs and lesson options for schools: Primary Schools, High Schools and School Camps.

Holiday Surf Lessons

Can you imagine yourself riding a wave on the beautiful Coffs Coast? Our popular Holiday surfing lessons will get 1st timers safely up and onto their first wave before they have time to worry about falling off.

Weekly Surf Lessons

Weekly Surf Lessons are a great option to stay fit, healthy and have fun all while learning about the ocean.

Coffs Coast Surf Experience (Private Surf Lesson)

Can you imagine yourself, family and friends riding a wave on our beautiful Coffs Coast? Our popular Coffs Coast Surfing Experience is an exclusive surfing experience for individuals or private groups. Available all year round for all ages and abilities. You chose your day, time and location or you can let us guide you with our local knowledge.

SurfGroms (Kids Programs)

SurfGroms is a national junior development program for 5-12yr olds that encourages kids to participate in surfing around Australia. Surfing is a great way to enjoy our beach environment safely, whilst also ingraining into them a healthy lifestyle that is proudly Australian!
