Splitters Farm
Splitters Farm is a working cattle farm & animal sanctuary that can be explored via a self-guided experience, 7 days or a guided farm tour on weekends. This natural oasis & surrounding creek are also home to native Australian animals, including wallabies, platypus, barramundi, prehistoric lung fish and boast over 150 documented species of Australian birdlife.
Splitters Farm started in 2017 as a haven for rescued farm animals who had been neglected, abused or the victims of their owners’ change of circumstances. Most, however, have come to Splitters Farm as a result of the drought and the subsequent financial burden for farmers to feed their livestock.
Set amongst lush tropical bushland, Splitters Farm, a 160-acre property bordered by Splitters Creek, a freshwater oasis that feeds into Bundaberg’s beautiful Burnett River. Splitters Farm offers unique rural camping & farm stay experience while being a fantastic location to use as a base to explore the Bundaberg region and Southern Great Barrier Reef.
