Sydney Kayak Experience, founded in 2020 by the dynamic husband-wife-best friend trio, was born from a shared love of kayaking and a desire to bring joy to others.
What started as a fun, new outdoor activity during the COVID-19 pandemic has blossomed into a thriving business offering unique and memorable kayaking tours.
From humble beginnings with a small fleet of kayaks, we have grown to accommodate up to 22 guests with a dedicated team of 5-6 experienced guides. Our tours, which include sunrise, sunset, and iconic Opera House sessions, are designed to provide breathtaking views and unforgettable experiences.
Our senior guides are certified enclosed sea guides through PADDLE NSW, and have invested countless hours in training and tour development.
Their expertise, combined with our team’s commitment to excellence, ensures that every tour is expertly crafted and executed.

Sustainability Commitment
At Sydney Kayak Experience, sustainability isn’t just a commitment — it’s at the heart of everything we do. We operate exclusively human-powered kayaks with LED lighting on rechargeable batteries, use zero single-use plastics, minimise freshwater and energy use, and conduct regular litter-sweeps of our launch sites (encouraging staff and guests to ‘Take 3 for the Sea’ whenever safe). We follow a formal Environmental Management Plan aligned with Ecotourism Australia standards, partner with Australian Marine Conservation Society and other local organisations, and run educational tours that raise awareness of Sydney Harbour’s unique ecosystems, Aboriginal cultural heritage, wildlife and the impacts of climate change. We believe small actions add up — so every paddle, clean-up and charitable tour contributes to protecting Sydney Harbour’s natural and cultural heritage for generations to come.
