Tambourine Mountain Glowworms

Located on top of Mount Tamborine in the Gold Coast Hinterland, Cedar Creek Estate is a Land for Wildlife Property surrounded by reforested rainforest and manicured gardens. Start your day with a Glow Worm Tour, where our team of biologists will take you through our rainforest boardwalk and world-first Glow Worm Sanctuary. The Tamborine Mountain Glow Worm Caves is a purpose built cave, created from scratch to protect the local species of glow worms, Arachnocampa flava. Unrestricted tourism to glow worm sites has led to drops in local populations, and the sanctuary provides an alternative way to see glow worms without harming wild colonies. Housing more than 8,000 glow worms, the cave gives visitors to see glow worms during the daytime with one of our knowledgeable tour guides.
