Sustainability Commitment
Tanja Lagoon Camp is a product based on responsibility to the natural environment, cultural heritage and the local community. Gathering wealth is not our motivation for being in business. Our inspiration comes from the desire to live here and care for this beautiful land and provide opportunities for ourselves and others to connect with nature and thrive. Our conservation initiatives include planting over 7000 trees and shrubs to re-establish wildlife corridors, eradicating weeds and dismantling fences from the property. Some of our sustainable practices include solar power, wood pellet heating, worm farm waste management, rainwater collection, locally sourced building materials milled on site, recycling and general waste minimisation, bulk eco-cleaning and personal products. We collaborate with the Bega Local Aboriginal Land Council to promote cultural connection.
