The Big Duck Boat Tours

The Big Duck Tours is based at Victor Harbor, 80 kms south of Adelaide, on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Visitors experience otherwise inaccessible areas of coastline, islands, and beaches to discover seals, dolphins, seabirds and whales (in season) in their natural environment aboard a purpose built vessel.

Big Duck Boat Tours has established the highest level of nature-based tourism experiences in the Encounter Bay Sanctuary Zone of the Encounter Marine Park. Our primary mission is to increase greater awareness and appreciation of our local Marine Park and its surrounding waters while operating responsibly and sustainably. After our tours, passengers should have an understanding of sensitive interaction with our waterway and have a better ability to make the correct decisions on climate change and pollution issues. We believe in fostering passion, demonstrating best practice, and giving passengers pathways to assist in helping the greater conservation of the planet through interpretation, information and access to specific links to different action groups.

Seal Island Tour

Departing from Granite Island Causeway cruising to Seal Island, Long Nosed fur seals and Australian sea lions can be seen basking in the sun, often swimming to a stationary boat. Bottlenose dolphins are also often in the vicinity. View wildlife and beautiful scenery at Seal Island and around Wright Island.

Big Duck Charter

Departing from Granite Island Causeway, if you have a large group why not have the boat to yourself and charter the Big Duck. Charters are available year-round subject to scheduled cruises and availability. Maximum numbers are 27 passengers.

Southern Ocean Adventure

This breathtaking tour departs from the Granite Island causeway past many offshore islands and spectacular cliffs. See seals, sea lions, birds and dolphins. Cruising through the Encounter Marine Park where we also view whales during the winter months when they migrate from Antarctica to the warm waters of Encounter Bay.
