A wooden deck extends from a house, overlooking a grassy yard and dense trees. A small grill and a couple of chairs are placed on the lawn nearby, perfect for an afternoon tour.

Kookaburra Cottage at Uralba Eco Cottages

Kookaburra Cottage runs entirely off-grid on solar-power, rainwater provides water and it has an organic worm waste management system which converts sewerage and other non-compostable waste into liquid fertiliser. The self-contained guest cottage with disability access ramp, has open-plan dining/lounge living area, bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, a large wrap-around verandah and an outside vertical plant room – all overlooking private gardens and set against the background of the beautiful Border Ranges.
