The Wildlife Habitat in Port Douglas is an immersion exhibit – an open and interactive environment for guests and animals to mingle in a natural setting. Wander along elevated boardwalks as birds fly and roam freely. Experience wildlife from the Rainforest, Wetlands and Grasslands environments, and learn with our guided tours and presentations. Enjoy Breakfast with the Birds or Lunch with the Lorikeets as birds wander freely amongst the tables.

Accompanied by one of our passionate Wildlife Keepers you will experience a private interactive encounter with one of our gorgeous koalas and kangaroos. Enter our Wildlife Care Centre and be guided through the park on your own private tour. Complete with intimate dining experience in our Rainforest Habitat and professional souvenir photos with a koala and reptile, this is YOUR Wildlife Habitat.
Koala and Reptile Photos
Daily animal presentations in the newly built presentation hut allow guests to see and touch animals up close. These presentations provide a learning experience about Pythons, Koalas and Crocodiles. For a close encounter, you can have the opportunity to purchase a souvenir photo holding these captivating creatures.
Lunch with the Lorikeets
The sumptuous Lunch with the Lorikeets offers an extensive buffet where guests can help themselves. As well as lorikeets, visitors can expect to meet cockatoos, curlews, parrots, herons and a host of other birdlife.
Behind the Scenes Tour
In small intimate groups, a Wildlife keeper will guide you through the Wildlife Care and Rescue Centre, Quarantine, Koala and Eucalypt Plantations and Food Preparation areas. Your guide will give a fascinating insight into the day in the life of a Wildlife Keeper and how they care for the sick, injured or orphaned animals. The tour concludes at the Lumholtz’s Tree Kangaroo Breeding Centre.
